Dear Community Members,

We are all aware of the horrible disasters that have occurred in Haiti. We as a school and community want to assist the people of Haiti. As teachers and staff of your sons and daughters, we want to lead by example by volunteering our time to host a fund-raising community spaghetti supper on February 9, 2010 in our gym.

The supper will cost $10/person or $30/for up to and including a family of 5 (two parents and 3 children). We will hold two sittings; one at 5:00 and the second will be at 6:00. Each family will be expected to bring their own plates and utensils in a baggy which they will then take back home with them after dinner. This will allow our community to model environmental responsibility and will ensure that all the funds collected from the dinner will go directly to those in need.

We are asking our local community to donate the food needed for the supper. Temple Anshe Sholom has been so kind as to allow us to use their kitchen, tables and chairs. The home and school has also offered to hold their “Café” outside the gym for those of you with a sweet tooth.

Our goal is to raise $4000.00 dollars which will be given to the Canadian Red Cross Society. However, we do have a limited seating of 200 persons at a time. This is why we will be selling our tickets on a first come, first served basis. Even if the day or times do not work for you, we will be collecting any donations you are willing to make towards our goal.

Below you will find a form that you can fill out in order to join us for the supper. Please fill it out clearly and completely, cut it off and send it back to the school at the very latest by February 5th, 2010. We look forward to serving you on Tuesday the ninth.
