Request for Support for the McMaster Campus Farm Stand
Published: June 08, 2009
I am writing to let you know about a project that I have been working on under the auspices of OPIRG (Ontario Public Interest Research Group) PEAS (Promoting Eating Alternatively and Sustainably) along with the Golden Horseshoe Biosciences Network to get a farm stand onto McMaster's campus.
The attached letter provides some more details but in essence the project has been put on hold and we are seeking campus and public support as part of our campaign to see it finally manifest.
We will gladly accept an e-mail supporting the contents of the letter or a hand signed version of the attached (mailing address is in the letter).
Our goal at this point is to be able to show the university that there is broad support from the campus and Hamilton communities for the project. We are also researching farmers' markets at other universities to be able to point to precedent being set by other schools.
Please get in touch if you have any questions or concerns.
