OMB Appeal by Trinity Development Corp.

Trinity Development Corp. has a conditional offer on lands adjacent to McMaster Innovation Park. These lands have been designated by the city as the West Hamilton Innovation District for growth flowing from the Innovation Park. Trinity is challenging the city’s designation at the Ontario Municipal Board. At the AWWCA’s board meeting Jan. 7, 2008 the matter was discussed and the board agreed to apply at the prehearing on Jan. 15 to be a participant in the hearing in support of the city. The Kirkendall Neighbourhood Association is also supporting the city’s position and their website http://kirkendallhood.ca/ gives more detail on the issue. A community information meeting hosted by Councillor McHattie and the Kirkendall Neighbourhood Association was held Jan. 10 and coverage of that meeting appeared in The Hamilton Spectator Jan. 11.
